Pi Yao/Pi Xiu, also called “Bixie” or “Tian Lu”, is a legendary abounding creature in ancient China. It is said to have no anus and a huge mouth which can swallow wealth in the world without expelling it. With such a peculiar ability, it is thought to be able to attract wealth from everywhere and to ward off ill fortunes and bring good fortune. The Shui Pi Xiu is one of the five auspicious animals in ancient China (the other four are dragon, phoenix, tortoise and Kylin).

Feng Shui practice advises that minors under the age of 16 and elderly people over the age of 70 should not wear Pixiu bracelet because they may not be able to suppress the vital energy from the fierce creature. Females should not wear it during pregnancy as well.

How to Cleanse Your Feng Shui Cures
Cleanse and energize a feng shui cure before using it for the first time. Cleanse them when you have been around alot of negativity as well.

Start with the obvious cleansing of the physical surface of your feng shui cure, such as removing dust, polishing, etc. Next, clear your feng shui cure on an energy level; here you can experiment with several different ways.

You can choose one (or all) of the methods below:

~ Leave your cure in the moonlight or sunlight (depending on the energy it most needs — yin or yang.) Alternatively, use the moon or sun energy to charge water to cleanse your cure. Leave a container with water under moonlight and/or sunlight for at least 24 hours (72 hours is best), and then use this water to clear the energy of your feng shui cure.
~ Smudging around your cure with sage or good quality incense.

Next to OM, om mani padme hum is one of the most commonly chanted mantras in yoga. In English, this rhythmic chant literally translates to “Praise to the Jewel in the Lotus.” This might not make much sense to new yogis or even to well-practiced yogis, but the mantra’s essence is powerful and pure. The benefits of reciting the Compassion Buddha mantra are infinite, like the limitless sky.
