Description
Pi Yao/Pi Xiu, also called “Bixie” or “Tian Lu”, is a legendary abounding creature in ancient China. It is said to have no anus and a huge mouth which can swallow wealth in the world without expelling it. With such a peculiar ability, it is thought to be able to attract wealth from everywhere and to ward off ill fortunes and bring good fortune. The Shui Pi Xiu is one of the five auspicious animals in ancient China (the other four are dragon, phoenix, tortoise and Kylin).
THESE ARE THE DO’S AND DON’TS, ACCORDING TO FENG SHUI
Feng Shui Pi Xiu bracelets are believed to have protective and auspicious energies in feng shui practice and are often worn as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. Here are some things to avoid when wearing a Feng Shui Pi Xiu bracelet:
- Do not wear the bracelet while bathing or swimming: Water can damage the bracelet or affect its energy.
- Do not wear the bracelet while sleeping: It is recommended to take off the bracelet before sleeping, as it may cause discomfort or restrict blood circulation.
- Do not let others touch your bracelet: It is believed that the bracelet should be personalized and charged with your own energy, so it’s best not to let others touch or wear it.
- Do not wear the bracelet on the right hand: In feng shui, the left hand is considered the receptive hand and is believed to be the best hand to wear the bracelet on, as it is closer to the heart and can better absorb its energy.
- Do not wear the bracelet when visiting a funeral or hospital: In feng shui, the bracelet is associated with prosperity and good luck, and wearing it in these situations may be considered inappropriate.
- Do not wear a broken bracelet: If your bracelet breaks or becomes damaged, it is recommended to replace it, as a broken bracelet may have negative energy or lose its auspicious properties.
Feng Shui practice advises that minors under the age of 16 and elderly people over the age of 70 should not wear Pi Xiu bracelet because they may not be able to suppress the vital energy from the fierce creature. Females should not wear it during pregnancy as well.
HOW TO CLEANSE YOUR FENG SHUI BRACELET
Feng Shui Pi Xiu bracelets are believed to have protective and auspicious energies in feng shui practice and may benefit from regular cleansing to remove any negative or stagnant energy that may have accumulated over time. Here are some ways to cleanse a Feng Shui Pi Xiu bracelet:
- Sunlight: Place the bracelet in direct sunlight for several hours, as sunlight is believed to have a purifying and energizing effect.
- Moonlight: Place the bracelet outside under the light of the full moon overnight, as moonlight is believed to have a cleansing and rejuvenating effect.
- Incense: Burn some sage, sandalwood, or other purifying incense and pass the bracelet through the smoke.
- Sound: Use sound vibrations to cleanse the bracelet by placing it on a singing bowl or ringing a bell over it.
After cleansing the bracelet, it’s important to recharge it with positive and auspicious energy. This can be done by holding the bracelet in your hands and setting an intention or visualizing positive energy flowing into it. You may also place it on a piece of selenite or clear quartz crystal for a few hours to further amplify its energy.
OM MANI PADME HUM BEADS
Next to OM, Om Mani Padme Hum is one of the most commonly chanted mantras in yoga. In English, this rhythmic chant literally translates to “Praise to the Jewel in the Lotus.” This might not make much sense to new yogis or even to well-practiced yogis, but the mantra’s essence is powerful and pure. The benefits of reciting the Compassion Buddha mantra are infinite, like the limitless sky.
BEAD ENERGIES
Wooden Om Mani Padme Beads: In feng shui, wood is associated with the “Wood” element, which is believed to represent growth, vitality, and upward movement. Wood is considered a powerful symbol of life force energy and is often used to create a sense of balance and harmony in a space. The energy of wood is said to be expansive, upward, and outward, much like the growth of a tree. It is believed to bring a sense of vitality and renewal to a space, and can help to promote creativity, flexibility, and open-mindedness. Wood is also associated with the colour green, which is believed to have a calming and soothing effect on the body and mind. It is often used in feng shui to promote a sense of balance and harmony in a space.
